On Monday, Dr. Donald May, a former candidate for congress in District 19 which includes Lubbock, endorsed Glen Robertson in the runoff election.  Robertson faces Jodey Arrington for the District 19 GOP runoff election to be held on May 24.

Robertson said of Dr. May, “He indicated that he wanted to stay involved in this race.”

“He has offered, if not insisted, on being a part of this campaign,” Robertson said.

Robertson and May spoke at joint events in Lubbock and Abilene as part of the endorsement.

May said in part, “Glen Robertson is by far the better candidate in the race.  He is a proven leader with real life experiences, Conservative values, and the personal integrity to represent the interests of the hard-working men and women of West Texas.”

Also on Monday, Arrington announced endorsements of his own.  They included Mayor of Abilene Norm Archibald, Mayor of Plainview Wendell Dunlap, Mayor of Big Spring Larry McLellan, Mayor of Seminole Wanye Mixon, Mayor of Sweetwater Jim McKenzie and Mayor of Levelland Barbra Pinner.

Arrington said his endorsements reflect “strong grassroots support district-wide.”

Former candidate Jason Corley had already endorsed Robertson, and former candidate DeRenda Warren had previously endorsed Arrington.
