Mayor Glen Robertson will host a meeting tomorrow with the goal of increasing the number of foster parents in Lubbock. Representatives from DePelchin Children’s Center as well as other child placing agencies will be at the meeting and local religious leaders have been invited to help get the word out about the urgent need for foster families.

“There is a growing need for foster families in Lubbock,” Mayor Robertson said. “My hope is that out of this meeting there will be a group of loving, caring families who will step up to the plate and provide a positive impact on these young lives.”

The meeting will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, in City Council Chambers, 1625 13th Street.
