Steven Guadalupe Mendez, 30, of Levelland was arrested on Thursday. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Mendez was accused of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance over 400 grams. He was held Friday in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
DPS issued the following written statement.
On 12/15 2016 Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division (CID) along with DEA and Levelland PD executed a search warrant on a residence in 200 block of Cypress Street.
During the search of the residence Methamphetamine, pharmaceuticals, along with undisclosed amount of currency and a pistol were recovered.
One person was arrested, Steven Guadalupe Mendez, 30, of Levelland was booked into Hockley county jail for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance over 400 grams.
The investigation is still ongoing.
