The Naples Police Department said Freda Barber Brown was found dead on Monday. She had been reported as a missing person on Sunday.
Police Chief Jim Grisham said his office responded to a report of deceased person in the 400 block of Locust Street.
The crime scene was secured, and the Texas Rangers were called in to assist. The Morris County District Attorney’s Office and Sheriff’s Department are also helping.
Brown’s body was sent to the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas for autopsy.
