Court documents have revealed more information about a double homicide in Brown County.

A Probable Cause Affidavit says Cody Michael Flores, 17, told detectives he shot and killed his father, Abuith Andrian Flores, 43, and his stepmother, Ophelia V. Luciobuith Andrian, 53, with a rifle at their home on County Road 551 early Saturday morning because his father wouldn’t let him move in with his grandmother.

Flores had been thinking about committing the homicides for about two weeks, according to the affidavit, which says when the detective asked Flores why he chose Saturday morning to finally go through with the act, Flores, “stated this was the first time he had thought of using a gun instead of a knife.”

The affidavit also claims Flores admitted he fabricated his original story about a suspect entering the home and holding him captive in order to get away with the murders.

Flores is facing two counts of Capital Murder in connection to the double homicide and is being held in the Brown County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
