Albuquerque television station KRQE reported that an arrest warrant was issued for Jerry Nale of Lubbock. An examination of the New Mexico court system’s website confirms that a warrant was issued on Monday.
Nale, age 18 at the time, was charged with homicide by vehicle for a deadly March 29 crash in Portales. Officials at the time said Nale was driving a vehicle and leading police on a chase. It crashed.
A written statement from Portales Police said, “Both he and Trinity Jackson, 16, were ejected from the vehicle and had to be airlifted to Lubbock for serious injuries sustained. Ms. Jackson died later that evening at University Medical Center.”
KRQE.com said on Tuesday, “Nale was out on bond and was supposed to appear in court, but didn’t show.”
