A most-wanted sex offender from El Paso who was last seen in Lubbock was arrested according to a statement from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department.
On Thursday a written statement said, “Robert Lee Herron was arrested in Aransas County Texas and booked into the Aransas County Detention Center on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016.”
It also said, “No further information is available at this time.”
Herron, 40, was released from West Texas Intermediate Sanction Facility on June 27. According to the EPCSO, he was scheduled to arrive at a halfway house in El Paso the same day.
He never showed up.
At the time of his dissappearnce, EPCSO said, “His last known location was the Greyhound bus station in Lubbock.”
Herron was on parole for possession of cocaine. He is also a registered sex offender for aggravated sexual assault of a child in Harris County.
