A Burkburnett mother, accused of making her stepsons drink a concoction to make them throw up, has been accused of more abuse.
Sara Ann Woody, 24, was originally facing two charges of injury to a child. But more recently, it’s 30 different charges, ranging from injury to a child to abandonment. Her bond was set at more than $3 million dollars.
Her husband, Jonathan Darrell Woody, 34, was also charged with three counts of abandoning and endangering a child. His bonds totaled $550 thousand dollars.
The initial investigation by police led them to believe the Woody’s made their sons drink an apple cider vinegar and water mixture to cause vomiting as punishment for taking food.
Two siblings also said when the one of them was bad, they were forced to eat cold rice and vinegar. Police believe Sara Woody also physically hurt the boys on more than one occasion.
According to an arrest affidavit, the boys also told police that their step-mom forced them to lick the toilet bowl that still had human waste on it. The affidavit also stated Mr. Woody told the boys to lie to police about the abuse allegations.
Sara Ann and Jonathan Woody’s children were placed with relatives. Sara Ann Woody is also pregnant at this time.
