Emergency crews were dispatched to a reported multi-vehicle traffic accident in South Lubbock at about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.
The accident was reported in the westbound lanes of South Loop 289, between Interstate 27 and University Avenue. At least six vehicles were involved.
“A Lubbock police officer was in the area of 74th and University when he observed an LSO unit in pursuit of a vehicle,” Lubbock Police said. “Our officer began to follow in order to assist LSO, and he called in the accident.”
LPD is assisting in the accident investigation.
