Multiple fire departments from Pecos, Upton, Regan and Crockett County battled a battery tank southwest of Ozona Tuesday.
The fire started around 6:30 a.m., off of County Road 306, approximately 20 miles outside of Ozona.
The Ozona Volunteer Firefighter Department arrived on the scene an hour later.
Theor first attempt to put out the flames failed, so assistance was requested from fire departments in neighboring counties.
No firefighters were injured battling the battery tank fire.
The cause of the fire was not reported.
