A dentist and his wife from Huntingburg, Indiana were booked Wednesday and Thursday respectively into the Dubois County Jail for neglect of a dependent and criminal confinement according to online jail records.

Alan Friz, 57, and Aimee Friz, 36, were held without bond.

The Dubois County Herald reported that officers were called to a county residence Wednesday for the report of an unruly juvenile.  The juvenile told officers that she was made to sleep in a cage according to the Herald.

The Herald said, “The 4-by-8 cage is described in court documents as having a mattress and a label on its front door indicating it was the juvenile’s cage. It did not have running water or electricity.”

The Herald also said, “The juvenile had reportedly been given a pan so she could use it to go to the bathroom, according to court documents.”

Alan and Aimee Friz told officers that the girl threatened violence and they had a lockable space for her safety, according to Herald.

Other media outlets said bond would not be set for the first 72 hours of the case.
