A retirement community in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania honor men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for the United States of America.
Nearly 7,000 American flags were put on display starting on Saturday. Each flag represents a life lost in combat since September 11.
“This is called the Massing of the Colors,” said Jack Heinz, a veteran and resident at the retirement community.
Every November, the memorial is on display during the week of Veterans Day.
The Massing of the Colors memorial is on display until November 13 at 1 Masonic Dr, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
