The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency is working to capture a bear after it took a stroll through a Maryville manufacturing plant Wednesday.
A bear was photographed moving through a Denso manufacturing plant in Maryville Tuesday. Maryville police responded to reports of a bear sighting in the industrial are near Denso Manufacturing around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Maryville police say the bear wasn’t inside the plant when they arrived and was seen heading into the woods.
The TWRA said Wednesday they have set a trap in an attempt to catch the black bear.
A release from DENSO said the bear was not aggressive and DENSO immediately called local authorities for assistance.
“Employees have been notified of the situation and are told to use caution when entering and leaving the facility,” the DENSO statement said. “With employee & public safety being our top priority, we’ll continue to work with local authorities to help ensure the bear is relocated in a safe and timely manner.”
