Pepe’s Pizza and Ice Cream shop was broken into by a man in a neck brace late Monday night.

“The guy was in here and gone in a minute and five seconds. He broke in here, and he was out. It happens super fast,” Tim Murphy, owner of Pepe’s on 98th Street, said.

Murphy said the thief broke the glass front door with a crowbar and then took the cash drawer from the register and headed back to the office.

“I can’t raise my prices on my food to over come that. That’s just something that happens,” Murphy said.

Surveillance video caught the thief smashing into the file cabinet around eight times and getting away with the remainder of the cash.

“They’ll find you. I feel certain they will, and you need to get a job when you get out of jail,” Murphy said to the suspect.
