Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) released the following statement on the passing of former First Lady Nancy Reagan:
Dana and I are saddened to learn of the passing of former First Lady Nancy Reagan, and we send our thoughts and prayers to the entire Reagan family. I had the honor of meeting Nancy Reagan and she was gracious and charming. President Reagan was a better President because of Nancy, and America was better as well—they were a team that will leave a lasting legacy on American history. It is truly the end of an era. I will never forget the day I stood in the Capitol Rotunda as she put her hands on President Reagan’s flag-draped coffin to say goodbye. Today, we say goodbye to an incredible American and a tremendous First Lady. May God bless the Reagan family and may He continue to bless the United States of America.
