Sue Loncar announced Thursday a new foundation in honor of Brian and Grace Loncar.

Grace took her own life the day after Thanksgiving. Brian, age 56, was found dead in his Dallas office two days after the funeral for Grace.

Sue Loncar released a statement, which according to WFAA.com said, “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Grace. To lose our precious husband, father and center of our universe, Brian, just days later to a heart attack is almost too much to bear.”

A website was set up at graceandbrianloncarfoundation.org.

The website said, “The purpose of the Grace and Brian Loncar Foundation is to take the epidemic of teenage depression out of the darkness and into the light.”

“We believe that it is necessary to talk about it in order to treat it,” the site said.  “We help families that are currently struggling with teenage depression by providing financial assistance, resources and education.”

Brian was a 1987 graduate of the Texas Tech School of Law and a prominent attorney in the state of Texas.  He was known for TV commercials in which he branded himself as The Strong Arm.

Sue was also listed as having studied at Texas Tech, according to her Facebook page.

As of Thursday morning, 172 contributors raised $25,970 for the new foundation. The listed goal was $100,000.
