The dedication ceremony for a new bronze owl statue at Jayne Ann Miller Elementary School will be this afternoon, Tuesday, September 6 at 5:30 p.m.
David Miller will provide dedication remarks prior to the reveal of the new statue. Gail Barnes from the South
Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center will also be in attendance with Titan, the great horned owl who serves as the Miller Elementary mascot.
The statute, sculpted by Eddie Dixon, was made possible by support from community donations, the Miller Parent-Teacher Association and campus fundraising. Miller Elementary School is located at 6705 Joliet Drive.
