A second police report was released on Thursday which was related to the arrest of Elvira Mendez Thomas, 63.  Thomas was arrested Saturday in the 5100 block of 39th Street for aggravated assault.  Her bond was set at $20,000 and as of Thursday she was no longer listed in jail records.

Thomas was accused of holding a man at gunpoint in her home after she suspected him of showing a picture of a topless woman to her grandchild.

EverythingLubbock.com has so far withheld the name of the man because, as of Thursday, he was not formally charged with a crime.

The first police report focused on Thomas holding the man at gunpoint.  The second police report focused on what the man did before he was held at gunpoint.

The second police report said he showed the topless picture to a 9-year-old girl.  A family member at a completely different address alerted police to the topless photo incident, and then police found that the man was held at gunpoint in the 5100 block of 39th.

The family told police that the man had a history of being “sexually odd.”  The man’s daughter told police that he made sexual advances toward her and her friends when she was younger.

The man’s daughter told police that “[he] made statements about seeing [her] breasts when she was younger and being excited about it.”

The second police report said, according to family, the man had touched a dog in a sexual way in front of a small child.

The second police report indicated that no formal action had been taken against the man over the years.
