No injuries were reported following a semi-truck and train collision in East Lubbock Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred just before 9:00 a.m. along East 50th Street near Oak Avenue.
Lubbock Police say the train was traveling southbound and the semi-truck was eastbound on 50th Street.
The semi-truck was carrying cotton seed at the time of the accident. Cotton seed and fuel spilled from the semi-truck following the crash.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and City of Lubbock Environmental Health crews also also called to the scene following the accident.
Front end loaders are being used to clean up the cotton seed.
Traffic was diverted in the area as crews worked to clean up the accident scene.
