The Texas Department of Public Safety released information Tuesday about a deadly crash that happened Monday morning. The DPS said one person died and four were injured in the crash seven miles west of Odessa in Ector County.
Sabino Natividad, 41, of Odessa was pronounced dead on the scene. He was a passenger in a pickup truck driven by Irma Garcia, 44, of Odessa. The DPS said Garcia was driving north on Fortune 500 approaching a stop sign at the intersection of FM 2020.
The DPS said Garcia’s truck “disregarded the stop sign at the intersection.” Her truck hit another pickup truck that was going west on FM 2020 according to the DPS.
Garcia and the other people injured in the crash were taken to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa for treatment.
