An Odessa man was electrocuted Monday afternoon while working on a water water.
Tom Sawyer, 48, was working on a water well in the 2500 block of North Torrance Ave at about 4:40 p.m.
Ector County Deputies found Sawyer laying face down on the ground.
Sawyer and a friend of his were attempting to lower a piece of pipe back into the hole with a winch truck when the tip of the pipe contacted the overhead power lines, electrocuting Sawyer.
