A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he was accused of stabbing another man in the face and the chest, according to a release from the Odessa Police Department.
At about 1:45 a.m. Sunday officers were called to the 2200 block of Rocky Lane about a stabbing and found a 28-year-old man with wounds to the face and the chest, according to the release.
Officers later located two witnesses who said John Ramirez and the victim got into a fight before he reportedly pulled out a knife and began slashing and stabbing the victim, according to the release.
The knife was reportedly recovered by officer on a nearby patio chair.
As a result Ramirez was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
