Two arrests were made Wednesday for a June 25 murder case, according to Odessa Police.
Police said a witness told the officers that a man had been murdered by a woman, later identified as Audrey Montgomery, inside a home at the 1400 block of East Fifth Street.
Police later came to believe that Montgomery did in fact shoot and kill Fred Robinson, 50.
Police said Montgomery, with the help of Lacey Taylor, took Robinson’s body to 200 Park Avenue and burned it.
Police recovered the bones and sent them to Tarrant County for a medical examiner to confirm they were human bones.
Tarrant County officials also discovered evidence that Robinson suffered a gunshot wound, according to Odessa PD.
Both Montgomery and Taylor were charged with murder as well as tampering with physical evidence.
