Evelyn Edith Parra, 32, arrested and charged with three counts of endangering a child after Odessa Police said she left three boys inside a home that was 95 degrees.
Officers on Friday went to the home in the 1300 block of Nabors Lane in an attempt to locate a suspect with multiple felony warrants.
Officers knocked and rang the doorbell several times with no response. Officers noticed a one child looking out of a window and another in the home crying.
Officers then entered the home and noticed that the back door was wide open, and the thermostat said 95 degrees, according to a written statement.
Officers found three boys, an eight-year-old, a five-year-old and a two-year-old, inside the home and no adults.
About an hour later a woman, Parra came home. Parra was identified as the mother of the two-year-old and eight-year-old. She was identified as the aunt of the five-year-old.
She was charged with three counts of endangering a child — a state jail felony.
