One person is dead and two others are injured after a head-on collision outside of Dundee Sunday afternoon.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. on US 277 between Holliday and Dundee.

A small four-door car was traveling west when it drifted into oncoming eastbound traffic, and ran into an 18-wheeler head on.

The driver of the small vehicle died at the scene and the passenger was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The drive of the semi-truck also went to the hospital, but his injuries were non-life threatening.
