On Tuesday March 15, 2016 at approximately 2:16 p.m., officers from the New Mexico State Police responded to the scene of a fatal vehicle crash. This crash occurred at mile marker 320 on U.S. 70 west of Roswell, New Mexico.

The initial investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Ana Maria Soria (35) from Amarillo, Texas was eastbound when the vehicles right rear tire blew-out. The driver then lost control of the vehicle and it over turned several time in the median.

Passenger Sandra Soria, (33) from Canutillo, Texas sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver, Ms. Soria, and passengers Luis Lopez (11) and Lorenzo Lopez (12), all sustained serious injuries and have been flown to University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Passengers Alfredo Soria (72), Ana Laura Soria (17), and Jessie Soria (13) all sustained injuries and are currently listed in stable condition at the Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell.

This vehicle crash is still under investigation.
