One person was seriously injured early Friday morning after being hit by a car in east Lubbock.
According to Lubbock police, they were called to Guava Avenue and East 14th Street around 12:15 a.m. Friday for an accident involving a pedestrian.
Police said there was a car going north and another car going south on Guava Avenue when a man tried to cross in between the two cars.
Police said the man was hit by the car that was going north. The man who was hit by the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the car stayed on scene, according to Lubbock police.
Accident investigators were also called out to the scene to help with the investigation.
