The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) investigated a major crash yesterday [Saturday] that resulted in one fatality. At approximately 12:27 p.m., a 2007 Dodge pickup, driven by Alfredo Gonzales, 32, of Levelland, was eastbound on Texas State Highway 114 nine miles east of Levelland. The vehicle went into the center median and overturned ejecting Gonzales.
Gonzales was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock by ground EMS. Gonzales was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Troopers are still investigating the cause of the crash.
