Three students from Stamford were injured in a one vehicle accident in Jones County Sunday morning.
According to the DPS, the accident occurred on U.S. Highway 277, two miles north of Anson, at 7:10 a.m.
Authorities said the vehicle struck a guardrail while traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 277. The vehicle spun after hitting the guardrail and can to rest facing southward.
The driver was seriously injured and was flown to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. The two passengers received minor injuries. Investigator believes fatigue to be the primary cause of the crash.
The crash is still under investigation.
