Firefighter Travis Parkinson settled his lawsuit with the City of Lubbock. The lawsuit was officially dismissed on Wednesday, but the federal court received notice of a settlement between the two sides in October.
Parkinson was put on leave from Lubbock Fire Rescue in 2014. At about the same time, he was charged with improper photography. More specifically he was accused of creating a website and posting a sexual video of his ex-girlfriend as revenge for their breakup. The charge was later dropped.
In June of 2015 Parkinson’s lawsuit sought more than $55,000 and he claimed that his personal leave without pay should have been classified as injury leave.
Details of the out-of-court settlement were not disclosed in court records.
