Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is Tim Burton’s new flight of fancy. It’s the story of Jake, who discovers a secret refuge for kids with special abilities. But evil lurks and Jake must protect the children and figure out who he really is. It’s rated PG-13 and runs right at two hours. Based on the true story, the movie sticks to the facts, mostly, of the April, 2010, disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. It’s rated PG-13 and runs just less than two hours.
