Ronald McDonald House Charities and Texas Tech Football Players will host a pediatric party for sick children being treated in Covenant Children’s Hospital. Players and coaches will play games, give autographs, and deliver toys to the children being treated on the pediatric floor.

This event will kick off the 15th year that Texas Tech Football and RMHC have partnered for the Quarterback S.A.CK. Promotion. This effort raises money and awareness for the charity while allowing fans to show support for the Red Raiders. It also helps teach the student athletes to give back to their communities they live in.

S.A.C.K. stands for “Support And Comfort Kids.”

Fans are asked to log on to Pledgesackwin.com to make a pledge for Quarterback Sack, then each time the Red Raider’s Defense sacks an opposing quarterback, their pledges will help sick or injured children and their families.

Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are an extension of the Ronald McDonald House program. They are located at Covenant Children’s Hospital and University Medical Center in Lubbock and Medical Center Hospital in Odessa and provide a personal respite right inside the hospital for families of children undergoing medical treatment.

These beautiful rooms offer many of the comforts of home for parents and family to help alleviate the anxiety of a hospital environment while allowing them to stay only a heartbeat away from their child.

RMHC is a non-profit charity whose programs serve over 13,000 people each year across 68 counties of West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico. Contributions stay local and continue to support families of this area. Over 80% of our income is generated by donations.

No family is ever turned away for inability to pay and may stay for as long as it takes for their child to heal.
