Plainview Fire Department to Hold “Bells Across America” Program Saturday Morning

The Plainview Fire Department is pleased to announce participation in the Bells Across America Program on October 8, 2016.  This ceremony is conducted in conjunction with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to honor those firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2015 and previous years. The Plainview Fire Department and PFD Honor Guard will be paying respect to the firefighters who have been killed in the line of duty in the State of Texas in 2015.

The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Plainview Fire Department Station 3, located at 3405 SW 3rd Street.  The public is invited and encouraged to attend to help honor these heroes.

Following the program, the Plainview Fire Department will have an open house until 12 noon.  There will be refreshments served, along with activities for both adults and children.  The Fire Safety House will be set up and fire prevention materials will be available for kids of all ages.  This is a great opportunity for the public to meet the firefighters serving the community and see the equipment and station used by the Plainview Fire Department personnel.
