On September 29, 2016 at 6:15 PM , officers responded to Plainview High School in reference to a hit and run accident.  Officers arrived and found that a 17-year-old Plainview High School cheerleader had been struck by a vehicle. 

The cheerleader suffered minor injuries to her right leg.  The vehicle was later discovered to belong to 24-year-old Alan Hernandez, of Plainview, Texas. 

Officers located Hernandez at his residence and arrested him for Fail to Stop and Render Aid.  Alan Hernandez verbally threatened the Plainview Police officers. 

When Mr. Hernandez arrived at the Hale County Law Enforcement Detention Center he became violent and assaulted two jailers. 

A female jailer was transported to Covenant Hospital for the injuries she sustained while trying to restrain Mr. Hernandez.
