Lubbock Police investigate a Monday night motorcycle accident that sent a bike rider to the hospital with serious life-threatening injuries. Police responded to the call around 8:30pm Monday at 15th street and Aberdeen Ave. Police say a motorcycle headed east bound on 15th street lost control. No other vehicles were involved. Police say according to witnesses, the bike was traveling at a high rate of speed. The male driver received serious injuries and was rushed to UMC. Police say he was not wearing a helmet. Police say a passenger fled the scene on foot. The passenger returned to the scene within the hour. LPD Accident Investigation continues to exam the scene and determine what caused the crash. The driver’s identity has not been released at this time. He remains at UMC. His current condition is unknown.
