Lubbock Police said two men were the victims of a shooting early Thursday morning.  Officers were called to the 2200 block of East 29th Street for the report of shots fired.

Police said, “Officers located the victims inside the house with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.”

The victims were identified as Dequan Willard, 21, and Byron Parker, 21. 

Police said, “The victims advised they were asleep in the living room on the couch.  Unknown suspect ripped down the window air conditioning unit and opened fire inside the living room striking both victims.”

One of the victims returned fire on the suspect, according to police, but it was unknown if the suspect was injured.   Police did not find a suspect.
