UPDATE: Levelland Police said early Friday morning that Shawn Freeman was found.  Below is the text of our original story. 

Levelland Police detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Levelland woman.   Shawn Linnette Freeman, 41, a Caucasian female was last seen  on November 23rd in Levelland at around 9 a.m., Levelland Police said. One of Freeman’s family members heard her exit her residence.

Freeman was reported missing then and Levelland Police have been looking for her ever since.  She is 5’3″, weighing approximately 115 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.  It is not known what clothing she was last wearing.

Police said they are especially concerned about her disappearance because Freeman has been suffering from mental health issues, they have concerned for her safety especially with colder weather ahead. They believe she may be disoriented or hallucinating.

“We’ve looked around town and have not had any luck. This happened once before a year ago, they located her in new mexico, she was provided with a bus ticket back home,” said a Levelland Police detective.

She has cut her hair since the picture, in the article was taken, she may have shorter hair now.  Freeman also has a birthmark on her left cheekbone.
