On Thursday, Lubbock Police released images of four suspects. What might have otherwise been a shoplifting case was listed instead as a robbery by a police report.
Police said one of the suspects hit a store employee on December 21 at JCPenney inside the South Plains Mall. A police report said the suspect hit the employee with a fist.
According to the police report, one of the suspects told the store employee he “was going to get his gun if he did not let them go.”

On December 21st just before 8 p.m., these suspects were caught shoplifting at JC Penney located in the South Plains Mall. As the three female suspects and male suspect left the store with merchandise, an employee attempted to stop the theft. The male suspect then hit the employee and the four suspects left in a silver Ford Fusion. If you have any information on these four suspects please call Crime Line at 741-1000.
