Lubbock Police said as of late Wednesday afternoon, no suspect was arrested for an early Tuesday morning shooting in the 4800 bock of Canton Avenue.
EverythingLubbock.com requested a police report on Wednesday, and it provided a few new details.
Originally police said, “Officers arrived and located a male and female suffering from gunshot wounds.”
A man, Geory Smith, 40, was shot in the back, and a woman was shot in the hand. Police said Smith had life-threatening injuries.
The police report said officers found a gun under a bed which was then unloaded.
The report said the gun belonged to a suspect who was not named, however, the report said, “[the] victim knew [the] suspect.”
The police report did not reveal how the victims knew the suspect, but domestic violence was excluded in the report.
Smith’s updated condition was not available Wednesday because he was listed as a “security patient.”
