EverythingLubbock.com made an open records request for the video from a high-speed police chase on March 29 that ended at 55th Street and Avenue D.  We were able to obtain the video after-hours on Wednesday and review it on Thursday.

The video showed an officer chasing a car that was believed to be associated with a home burglary.  Police said the driver, later identified as Alize Castilleja, 18, led officers through busy intersections as well as residential streets.

An officer collided with the car to end the chase.

EverythingLubbock.com has published the last one minute of the chase and a portion of the arrest.  Two camera angles were chosen.  Those include the dashcam of the lead officer followed by the body cam of the lead officer.

On Thursday, Castilleja was able to post bond get out of the Lubbock County Detention Center.  His pending charges included evading police in a motor vehicle.

Correction: We reported that a gun from the burglary was found in the vehicle. That was in error.  A gun magazine was found but not a gun. It is not known at this time if the magazine was related to the robbery.
