The final unofficial results show that Dan Pope won the race for Lubbock Mayor on Saturday with just less than 53% of the vote.
Pope defeated Todd Klein, Ysidro Gutierrez and Victor Hernandez. Because Pope earned more than 50 percent of the vote, there will be no runoff election in the race for Mayor.
The final unofficial totals for Mayor are as follows.
Lubbock Mayor
31.53% Todd Klein
52.64% Dan Pope
7.20% Ysidro Sid Gutierrez
8.63% Victor Hernandez
In the race for municipal judge, no candidate had more than 50 percent of the vote after the unofficial final results. There will be a runoff June 25 between Susan Rowley with 44.44% and Jorge E. Hernandez with 31.46%. Phil Johnson was the third candidate in that race with 24.09%.
In the race for City Council District 2, no candidate had more than 50 percent. The top two candidates were Sheila Patterson Harris with 43.76% and Jared B. Hall with 30.26%. They too will have a runoff.
In the race for City Council Council District 4, Steve Massengale defeated incumbent Jim Gerlt by a margin of approximately 64% to 36%.
In the race for City Council District 6, there was no opponent to Latrelle Joy.
In the special election for City Council District 1, Frank Gutierrez had 36.71% and Juan Chadis had 39.56% with that race headed for a runoff.
