Universal Police Supply’s Lubbock General Manager Michael Elms on Tuesday presented a line of products for KLBK and EverythingLubbock.com which are a form of support for local law enforcement. Elms said the business created a “punisher” apparel line.
“We’re out here trying to make community awareness of the local law enforcement supporting them,” Elms said. “As well as all the stuff in Baton Rouge, Dallas and getting out anyone who wants to buy a shirt, we’re getting that awareness out so they know at least awe are supporting them and try to help them out any way we can.”
Elms is organizing a fundraiser for local law enforcement, Dallas police, and Baton Rouge. He said all proceeds will go to those affected areas and the families of officers.
“We appreciate them as much as we can and do every day,” Elms said. “I’m sure there’s stuff we don’t know and don’t see that they do every day. So we appreciate everything they do.”
Mastertech Fab Automotive is one of the local businesses participating in the fundraiser.
“It’s showing that you have respect for them and that you’re not afraid to let people know that you stand behind the officers,” Mastertech Fab Automotive owner Brian Jolley said.
Jolley also created blue-line material to show support for police officers. It thin blue line car sticker with, “Back the Blue” in the middle.
“Back the Blue is saying that we stand behind our police officers our first responders, the guys that are coming out actually risking their lives trying to help us stay safe and protected.” Jolley said. “And that’s what this is all about – just we’re there for their back, we’ve got their six just like they have ours.”
Jolley said people can pick one up, and his staff will even put it on the car.
Universal Police Supply apparel will be a preorder.
Fitted hats are $22 regular. Velcro hats $16. There are two different style t-shirts with the blue strip on the American flag, tri-blend cotton and Canvas brand. They say, “‘Blessed are the peacemakers for they should be called children of God’ -Matthew 5;9.”
Prices are:
$15 to $22 for shirts.
$5.00 for the Punisher velcro patches.

Elm and Jolley said there will be separate baskets for LPD, Dallas, and Baton Rouge that proceeds will specifally go for.
