Owning a dog is a very big responsibility and it is important that you know how to take care of that animal properly. It is also very important that you know the best way to greet a dog and how to keep yourself and children safe when they approach a dog. That is why Jolynn Payne, from Rocking Paw Dog Training, teamed up with the SPCA to teach kids in school about the proper way to educate children on bite prevention.
The presentation is called Pup Patrol and it is a way to teach children how they should behave when they first encounter a dog. She teaches children that when they first approach a dog to make a fist and let the dog smell the fist to protect the children if the dog does bite. This is vital information that children need to know in order to keep themselves safe when they are around any animals.
