The Texas Department of Transportation and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad Company are scheduled to close a railroad crossing in North Lubbock starting Monday.
Crews will replank the railroad crossing at the North Loop 289 frontage road and U.S. Highway 84 (Clovis Road) near the Texas Parks and Wildlife complex.
TxDOT says traffic will be detoured to the north Indiana Avenue intersection to access the Loop frontage road and Landmark Lane.
The work is anticipated to be completed by Wednesday, May 18. Work and road closures will take place weather permitting.
The project was previously scheduled to begin on May 9 but was rescheduled for May 16.
