Texas Tech baseball scored in five straight innings to roll to a 13-1 win over No. 9 Arizona Tuesday at Rip Griffin Park.

The win gives the 6th-ranked Red Raiders three straight victory over Top 10 teams.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first, Texas Tech took the lead in the bottom of the second on a Michael Berglund RBI single to right.  The freshman catcher went 3-for-4, with two runs scores and two runs batted in.

Hunter Hargrove also extended his hitting-streak to 18 straight games dating back to last year’s Super Regional against East Carolina.

James Patterson picked up the win in relief of John Henry Gonzalez, who pitched 3.2 innings and give up the Wildcats lone run on two hits.

Texas Tech (12-2) continues its four-game home state at 6:30 p.m. Friday against UT-San Antonio.
