Texas Tech cruised to an impressive 77-53 win over No. 18 Baylor to open Big 12 play Friday at United Supermarkets Arena.

Four Red Raiders scored in double figures in the win led by senior guard Keenan Evans, who scores 18 points.

Texas Tech (12-1, 1-0) never trailed in the game and went into the half with a 40-19 lead.

The 22nd-ranked Red Raiders shot 50 percent from the field and the 42 of their points came from the bench in the win.

Senior center Zach Smith rolled his ankle early in the first half and did not return to the game.

Texas Tech returns to action against Kansas at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Lawrence, Kansas.
