Maybe it’s something in the air, or maybe Texas Tech fans just know good baseball when they see it.

They’re 1 of only 5 teams nationwide to have reached the 30-win plateau.

It’s the third straight season they’ve reached that mark – the longest since Larry Hays 14 year stretch from 93-2006.

At 30-10 on the year the Red Raiders are off to their hottest start since 1999!

They control first place in the Big 12 standings!

They’ve won 19 of their last 21 games!

Now many people would tell you it’s started with the arms, and they wouldn’t be wrong.

Five new faces in the weekend roles have taken the cake between Davis, Gingery, Shetter, Howard and Dugger.

The group combined for an average ERA of 2.34.

In their first year on campus!

Who does that?

But it’s at the plate where the Red Raider bats have returned to form!

Through 40 games this year, Tech has already surpassed their run total from last season – which was 292 in 55 games – and they currently boast 304 during the 2016 season.

Even after the Red Raider fourth straight weekend series sweep over San Diego State, coach Tadlock said that he didn’t even think that his team has been clicking as of late, and that may be the scariest part.

However, he did admit the results have been pretty good.

Yes coach, yes they have.
