The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Lubbock County 2016 will be held Saturday, April 30 at the Rhodes Perrin Recreation Center on the Lubbock Christian University campus.
The event is from 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. The race will be outside by the recreation center and a survior area will be set up inside the recreation center.
KLBK Chief Meteorologist Nick Kraynock, who is a cancer survivor himself, will emcee the event.
This is the main fundraiser for the local American Cancer Society chapter. ACS hopes to get more than $100,000 from the 2016 Relay for Life Lubbock County.
Lubbock County Event Lead, Julie Heinrich, said in a new release they are very excited to be having the Relay at a new location this year. “LCU has been so gracious in allowing us to have our Relay at the Rhodes-Perrin Recreation Center. The facility is wonderful and gives us plenty of options for indoor and outdoor activities. We are thrilled to have LCU more involved this year as well, and we are looking forward to the Relay on April 30th!”
