ESPN’s Ed Werder is reporting Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is expecting to be released, not traded this offseason.
Werder also says his source stated Romo believes he can play 2-3 more seasons, despite his old age in NFL years. Romo turns 37 in April.
KXAS reports releasing Romo would come at a high cost— $10 million against the 2017 salary cap.
The Dallas QB is owed $24 million next year.
