Some residents in South Lubbock found their neighborhood flooded Saturday afternoon.
Crews with Lubbock Fire Rescue and the City of Lubbock Water Department responded to the area of 79th Street and Akron Avenue around 3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
A photojournalist on the scene observed water coming from the street, and said it appeared that a water main broke.
One resident said water was running for at least an hour in front of her home.
A representative for the City of Lubbock said the Public Works Department was being contacted to provide more information.
